ele poderia deitar-se no chão
e deixar-se apenas ser
um homem que ama

Infelizmente
em sua agenda superlotada
de coisas realmente importantes
consta o endereço
da minha casa
quase ilegível
riscado com tinta vermelha
e escrito assim:
fim do mundo

uma seria a de não mais viver

Entendi agora tardiamente
que o poema não pode sentir
ou explicar o poder

O poder tem disfarces
sobre disfarces
e no final
maquiagens caras

O poema também tem
máscaras 
das que deixam
os olhos
de fora

Aí está no presente
A sua fraqueza 
já que o poder
descobriu
a maneira precisa
de usar lentes de vidro

Tudo o que temos
é esperança
de que  por um descuido
ou por excesso de uso
caia o vidro
definitivamente

E também a dúvida
se o olho real sobrevivente
ainda terá vida
Ou  o humor aquoso
estará fundido
para sempre
em blocos transparentes
de cristal sem luz?

O poema não falará sobre isto
pois terá morrido
e revivido
tantas milhões de vezes
que não mais haverá nele
qualquer vestígio
de interesse
pelo poder

Caiu a primeira pele
foi sem querer
saiu distraída
não viu que vinha
um tremendo temporal
foram gotas de gelo
fizeram furos nos poros
que abriram
escorreram
Quando foi ver
já não era mais
a mesma

Caiu a segunda pele
mas já desconfiava
porque foi durante um discurso
inflamado
sobre espécie estranha de fé
que não era sua
e no silêncio que veio
depois do último ponto
ela soube
a verdade inteira

Quarta
a milésima
milionésima
pele que caiu
ninguém sabe ninguém viu
não foi por nada
